Overwhelmed with her hectic schedule, vacationing European princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) takes off for a night whilst at Rome. When a sedative she obtained in the physician kicks into, however, she falls asleep on the park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck),that takes down her back to his apartment for safety.
