A failure producer Max Bialystock (Nathan Lane) and his accountant, Leo Bloom (Matthew Broderick), scam friends of older ladies out of their nest eggs by convincing them to put money into a horrendously offensive 3rd Reich-themed musical covertly designed to bomb the minute it opens.
