The events take place around a fictional building called Arkonia, located in Upper East Side. This house is prestigious enough for Sting himself to live in, but perhaps only after reaching the peak of his career. Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) are going through difficult times. The former used to be a famous procedural, whom everyone has now forgotten, and the latter is a Broadway director. Both men are currently in a state where they want to escape somewhere due to everyday problems and reflections on the futility of existence. The men find solace in a crime podcast and rush to their gadgets every evening to not miss a new episode. When a fire broke out in the house and all the residents were forced to wait in a nearby cafe, Charles and Oliver reluctantly found themselves at the same table, and then another neighbor joined them - a very young and audacious Mabel (Selena Gomez). During an informal conversation, they discovered that she is also a fan of the same podcast, so when a man's body was found in Arkonia, the trio decided to conduct their own investigation. After all, it is obvious that the police are much worse at these things than they are. However, the team will have to hurry with the search for evidence - perhaps the killer lives in the same building…
